Privacy policy

The German version is authoritative.

1. Controller

Abel Serra San Valero
c/o Autorenglück #41124
Albert-Einstein-Straße 47
02977 Hoyerswerda, Germany
Email: abelserra@abelserra.com

This policy applies to www.abelserra.com, klarsicht.abelserra.com and quant.abelserra.com.

2. Hosting

The websites are hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, page requested, browser and operating system in server log files, to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses also apply.

3. Audience measurement with Vercel Web Analytics

I use Vercel Web Analytics from my host Vercel to see how often pages are viewed, which websites visitors come from and whether the CV is opened as a PDF. It sets no cookies and builds no user profiles. Visitors are counted with an anonymous value derived from the request that expires after 24 hours at the latest. It records, in aggregated form, the page viewed, referring page, country, browser, operating system and device type. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving the website).

4. Fonts

The fonts used are stored locally on this server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made.

5. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

6. External links

The pages contain links to LinkedIn, GitHub and my other project pages. Data is only sent to the respective provider once you click a link; their privacy policy then applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). Please contact the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Bavaria this is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
